Portland Trailblazers
The Portland Trail Blazers entered the NBA in 1970 and developed into one of the league’s most solid franchises. In 1977, after only seven seasons in the league, the Trail Blazers claimed the NBA Championship. Led by center Bill Walton, the teams of that era induced “Blazermania” in Portland and introduced the manic condition to the rest of the league. As hometown fans have come to expect, they’ll continue that ‘mania’ into the 2012-2013 season!
From the last week of October through mid-April, forty plus home’ games of the regular NBA season are contested at The Rose Quarter (home of the Portland Trailblazers) . . . at One Center Court . . . just a few blocks and one really convenient and quick MAX Light Rail ride from the front entrance of Hotel Fifty to the Arena. And more often than not, the Trailblazers’ record is such that they play into the post-season as well – which can last, as you know, through almost the month of May.
Fact is most of the starting game times are anywhere from 4 PM – on. That can mean either a late night or at least a late-night post-game review, meal and/or beverage! For any or all reasons, Hotel Fifty and H5O bistro & bar are ideally located. At 50 Southwest Morrison Street.
Here’s what we suggest. First, visit http://www.nba.com/blazers/schedule to see how the 2012-2013 season will play out. (No pun intended.) Maybe you might want to identify a couple or more hotly-contested NBA team rivalries, contact a few of your best basketball buddies and organize a guys’ overnight at Hotel Fifty. Girls aren’t the only ones who can overnight with their BFFs, you know! Then make your guestroom reservations. It’s that simple.
